TORONTO, Oct. 28, 2013 /CNW/ - The consensus is growing: we all need to work together to create new employment and economic growth in our region. CivicAction is hosting rising leaders from the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area at its fifth annual Emerging Leaders Network Studio (elnstudio).

The event will focus on a range of issues including job prospects for new graduates, youth employment, local economic development, micro-entrepreneurship and connections to other Great Lakes city-regions. Speakers represent business, education, and community leaders from different sectors and parts of the region.

Following elnstudio, emerging leaders will ring the bell at the TMX on November 5 and participate in the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit on November 7 in Niagara Region.

What: Media are invited to meet 150 rising leaders who will "lead in" to our economy's future by designing project ideas which will be incubated through CivicAction's Emerging Leaders Network.

When: Saturday, November 2, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., with plenary presentations from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Where: Ryerson University, George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre Atrium, 299 Church Street, Toronto.

Who: Business leaders, experts, and 150 rising leaders from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
