OTTAWA, Nov. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - An Ottawa premiere! Dr. Colin Carrie, Member of Parliament for Oshawa, Ontario, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Canada's Minister of Environment and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, will launch an exceptional book on the discovery of HMS Investigator.

Lost Beneath the Ice brings to life the story of HMS Investigator and its significance to early Arctic exploration.

Dr. Carrie will take part in this event along with Mr. Andrew Cohen, author of the book, and Mr. Ryan Harris, Parks Canada Underwater Archaeologist.

For the first time, artefacts taken from the wreck will leave Parks Canada's labs and be displayed for the media.

Copies of the book will be available for members of the media.
