/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Launch of Habitat for Humanity's Women Build construction period in Saint-Henri/ Français
MONTRÉAL, Sept. 5, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - On September 9, media representatives are invited to meet the participants of this Habitat for Humanity's Women Build program, who will build a home in Montréal's Saint-Henri borough over the next 10 days. This program promotes the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat homes by hosting build projects with the majority of the planning and execution undertaken by women volunteers. For the first time in Québec, 100 women volunteers contributed to a fundraising campaign and will give their time to help a low-income family from their region.
This program is made possible through P&G's donations on behalf of its household product brands, including Tide, Swiffer and Mr. Clean. This three-year partnership features a major $900,000 donation, as well as free products for volunteers and families who will receive a Habitat home in Canada.
