WHAT: | Ontario Fire Marshal and Chief of Emergency Management Tadeusz (Ted) Wieclawek and fire service representatives are heading to LCBO's Summerhill store. Join them in the kitchen to demonstrate how to create The Perfect Meal to kick off Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 6-12). | ||
Since cooking is the number one cause of home fires and the number two cause of fatal fires in Ontario, educating the public on how to cook safely is the focus of this year's Fire Prevention Week. | |||
Along with LCBO's Shari Mogk-Edwards, Vice President, Products, Sales & Merchandising and guest chef Matthew Kennedy, Fire Marshal Wieclawek will prepare locally-sourced seasonal dishes and demonstrate easy, practical tips to help prevent fires in Ontario homes. | |||
The Office of the Fire Marshal & Emergency Management and LCBO will also launch a new brochure called The Perfect Meal available at www.ontario.ca/firemarshal and in all 638 LCBO stores across Ontario. | |||
