Community is welcome to attend the grand opening celebration
MARKHAM, ON, Nov. 20, 2014 /CNW/ - The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015), along with its government and corporate partners, will announce the completion of the Atos Markham Pan Am/Parapan Am Centre, on Sunday, November 23.
The brand-new, multi-purpose aquatics centre and field house will host badminton, water polo and table tennis (Pan Am and Parapan Am) during the TORONTO 2015 Games next summer. Before athletes arrive from across the 41 Pan Am nations competing for gold, residents will have the opportunity to take an inaugural first swim on Sunday at Markham's first Olympic-sized pool party. This will be followed by sport demonstrations, community activations and tours of the facility.
Speakers will be available for media interviews following the formal announcement.
