/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - New Humber River Hospital Opens Sunday at 6AM: Inpatients to move from 3 Legacy Sites/
TORONTO, Oct. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - The new Humber River Hospital will open for patient care this Sunday, October 18th at 6:00 a.m.
Also on Sunday, October 18th, beginning at 7:00 a.m., the hospital will move inpatients from its current Keele and Finch sites to the new hospital, located at 1235 Wilson Avenue in Toronto. Inpatients from the hospital's existing Church site will move once the move from the Finch site is complete. The move will involve approximately 350 inpatients and is expected to be completed by late afternoon on Sunday.
Media Opportunity: A central location outside the new hospital has been set up for media to observe move activity. It is located across from Portal B on the south side of the hospital. Parking is available in the East Parkade.
Staff involved in the move will be made available to onsite media at select points throughout the move to provide move updates. This information will also be circulated through the hospital's twitter feed - @HRHospital - at the same time; hashtag #HRHMoves.
Privacy regulations do not permit the hospital to guarantee media access inside the building during the move process. If such an opportunity does arrive, the hospital will make every effort to grant controlled access inside the building. As much advance notice as possible will be provided should such opportunities occur.
