SAULT STE. MARIE, ON, May 7, 2013 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) President Linda Haslam-Stroud, RN will visit nurses in Sault Ste. Marie tomorrow for a site visit in honour of Nursing Week 2013.
Haslam-Stroud will join the nurses and at Sault Area Hospital from 10:15 to 3:00 pm. She is available for media interviews.
Nursing Week is held each year to coincide with the birthday of nurse Florence Nightingale. ONA has chosen the theme "Value the Invaluable" for Nursing Week 2013. ONA is reminding both members and the public to recognize that dollar for dollar, nurses are the best value in health care today.
ONA is the union representing 60,000 front-line RNs and allied health professionals and more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, industry and clinics.
