TORONTO, Oct. 28 /CNW/ - Brand new this year, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair will kick off with a pastry competition featuring celebrity chefs concocting creations that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
On Friday, November 5, celebrity Chef Duff Goldman, star of Food Network's Ace of Cakes, will prepare a jaw-dropping, mouth-watering Royal-inspired dessert. Duff is known for his larger-than-life cake creations, and is sure to create something extraordinary at The Royal.
Who knows what his Royal-inspired masterpiece will be?! A life-size horse? A prize-winning cow? A team of SuperDogs?! Come to The Royal on November 5th to find out.
After Duff unveils his creation, Chef David Adjey of The Opener and Iron Chef America fame, and Chef Anthony Mair, owner of Toronto restaurant Harlem Underground will compete and try to whisk their way to victory as they create their own "Duff-inspired" confection. Duff will judge The Royal's first-ever celebrity pastry competition and crown the confection king.
Duff's cake creation and the confection competition between David Adjey and Anthony Mair will be hosted by The Thirsty Traveler's Kevin Brauch.

ENTRY TO THE COMPETITION IS FREE WITH GENERAL ADMISSION; HOWEVER, GUESTS WILL NEED TO SECURE A WRISTBAND AS SEATING IS LIMITED. WRISTBANDS AVAILABLE STARTING AT 10 AM IN HERITAGE COURT ON FRIDAY.
The Royal's commitment to good food continues throughout its 10-day-run, with locally-sourced favourites, as well as some unique finds. From omnivores and locavores to herbivores and carnivores, fairgoers can try unique foods from all across the province including chocolate covered bacon or Ontario Peaches Turkish Delight!
