launch 2010 campaign in Nova Scotia/
HALIFAX, Nov. 5 /CNW/ - Operation Red Nose is joining forces with its provincial sponsors, Insurance Bureau of Canada and Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, to help keep Nova Scotia roads safe during the holiday season.
Operation Red Nose is a free designated driver service. It is run by hundreds of volunteers who provide a safe ride home to holiday revellers in their own vehicles.
On Tuesday, November 9 at 10 a.m. Operation Red Nose Founding President Jean-Marie De Koninck will participate in the Nova Scotia launch for the first time, and will announce details of the 2010 program. Communities that will host ORN in 2010 in Nova Scotia will be: Halifax, Sydney and Truro.
Special guests at the press conference will include:
- Hon. Ramona Jennex, Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, and Honorary Chair of Nova Scotia's 2010 ORN campaign
- Bill Adams, Atlantic Vice-President, Insurance Bureau of Canada
- Rick Perkins, Vice-President of Communications and Corporate Responsibility, NSLC
- Supt. Don Spicer, Halifax Regional Police
- Insp. Joanne Crampton, Halifax Detachment of the RCMP
