OTTAWA, June 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Devastating hospital cuts amounting to almost 200 front-line staff and 340,000 annual hours of patient care and patient support services have been imposed since January on Ottawa's hospitals.
At a press conference on Wednesday June 10, representatives from the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) representing health care professionals from Ottawa's hospitals will reveal the extent of the cuts and their impact on patients, quality of care and access to care, and how they herald greater privatization of the health care system.
