/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Photo-op - Vanier Cheetahs Football Player Offered Full Athletic Scholarship With University Of Minnesota/

MONTREAL, Feb. 4, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the media are invited to a photo-op to mark the fact that Vanier Cheetahs defensive lineman Julien Kafo has been offered a full scholarship to attend the University of Minnesota Division 1 program starting in the fall of 2014.

As part of the photo-op Julien, who hails from Mont-Tremblant  Quebec,  will participate in a symbolic signing of the letter of intent for his national scholarship.

Vanier College has a rich football tradition that has produced many athletes who have gone on to pursue careers at the university and professional levels. They include Tshimanga "Tim" Biakabutuka who won a scholarship to the University of Michigan and went to be the running back for the Carolina Panthers, Patrick Kabongo who signed with Nebraska and Eddie Azcona who played in two Rose Bowls and the Gator Bowl.
