Spring Drive is in desperate need of more donations
TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ -
WHAT: Spring Drive Public Food Sort Approximately 400 volunteers will be spending Saturday and Monday of a long weekend sorting and packing food donations at Daily Bread Food Bank. As of Friday April 1, Daily Bread is far behind its goals of 250,000 lbs of food and $250,000 with only 57,000 lbs of food and approximately $68,000 donated. The Spring Drive ends next Friday, April 9th so there is still time to donate and help us reach our goals. Note: Daily Bread is fully booked for public sorting. No volunteers are required. WHEN: Saturday, April 3, 2010 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. WHERE: Daily Bread Food Bank 191 New Toronto Street (Off Islington, north of Lakeshore)

Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at any fire hall, Loblaws, valu-mart, Real Canadian Superstore or No Frills.
