EDMONTON, Nov. 4 /CNW/ - Janitors employed by Bee Clean Building Maintenance working at the University of Alberta are declaring a partial victory as company admits overtime is owed and pays out $155,000 in unpaid wages. The payouts however, fall short of what workers are owed and intimidation tactics have persisted, janitors say.
"We have already witnessed the positive impact our collective action has had," says Danilo de Leon, one of the janitors. "There is no way we are going to stop now. We will continue our efforts until we have a voice at work and we have justice!"
