/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - RBC to announce winner of the 15th annual Canadian Painting Competition/

OTTAWA, Oct. 2, 2013 /CNW/ - After months of anticipation, Jian Gomeshi will host the 15^th annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition Gala. To celebrate this milestone, RBC has increased the total prize money to $115,000. The winner will receive a cash prize of $25,000, while two honourable mentions will each receive $15,000, plus the remaining 12 finalists will receive a $5,000 prize. Notable art industry members, as well as all jury members and finalists will be in attendance to celebrate art in Canada.
