Westmount Olympic Torch celebrations on the evening of Thursday December 10/

WESTMOUNT, QC, Dec. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - International Olympic Committee member Richard Pound and former summer Olympian Andréanne Morin will speak at the City of Westmount's Olympic Torch Relay celebrations, as the community welcomes the flame at 5:47 p.m. on Thursday, December 10 .

The City has planned many activities to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic flame, with activities beginning at 4 p.m. in front of Westmount City Hall. Activities include a free hot dog barbecue, Olympic-themed outdoor games for all ages, crafts for young children in the Lawnbowling clubhouse, as well as music and a marshmallow roast over a bonfire.

An excellent opportunity for live hits leading into the supper hour newscast, Westmount's celebrations will be the last stopping point before the torch proceeds through downtown Montreal . Mayor Peter Trent , Recreation Commissioner Kathleen Duncan , Richard Pound and Andréanne Morin will be available for interviews.
