MONTREAL, March 14, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The official opening ceremony of the second annual Robotics Festival will be held this Friday, March 15, 8:30 a.m. at the Uniprix Stadium. Those attending will include Michael Applebaum, Mayor of Montreal, Laurent Beaudoin, Chairman of the Board Bombardier Inc. and Cofounding President of FIRST Robotics Quebec, and L. Jacques Ménard, Chairman of BMO Nesbitt Burns, President of BMO Financial Group, Quebec and Chairman of Youth Fusion, who will each take to the stage as of 8:30 a.m. to address the 2,000 participants and take questions from the media.

	Challenge for 14-18 year-olds, dubbed " Ultimate Ascent " this year (building a functioning robot capable of throwing frisbees while scaling a pyramid-shaped steel structure); LEGO^®challenge for 9-13 year-olds (designing a robot able to carry out missions and presenting innovative ideas on the subject of "Solutions for Seniors").
