/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Staff with New Path Youth and Family Services to picket/
BARRIE, ON, July 4, 2017 /CNW/ - The workers who keep New Path Youth and Family Services running will hold an information picket outside the agency's head office to inform the public about management's refusal to bargain seriously – which has set the clock ticking down to a labour disruption as early as July 14.

Bargaining team chair Scott Stratton said employees were not making unreasonable demands. "We're looking for a modest increase that'll help us keep up with the cost of living," he said. "Over the last several years, we've been falling further and further behind. All management is offering is gift cards.
"We care deeply about our clients – they're like family to us. But we've also got families at home to provide for. And we deserve better than gift cards."
