TORONTO, July 23, 2013 /CNW/ - This week, college and university students will be speaking to voters in three of the ridings going to the polls on August 1. Students will be asking community members to push candidates to make commitments on post-secondary education.

Next week, students from Ottawa and Windsor will also be speaking to voters in the remaining two ridings with upcoming by-elections.
In March, the Liberal government announced four more years of tuition fee hikes. Students in Ontario already pay the highest fees in the country, while per-student funding is lower than any other province in Canada.
The Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario unites more than 300,000 college and university students in all regions of the province.
