CALGARY, Sept. 20, 2013 /CNW/ - Alberta is in danger of losing its advantage - at least as far as taxation is concerned. Other jurisdictions in Canada and worldwide are streamlining taxation and cutting rates to be more competitive. So what should Alberta's next competitive move be? Reducing corporate and personal income taxes and implementing an HST, says Professor Jack Mintz.

Media are invited to a press conference and luncheon where Prof. Mintz will make the case for an Alberta HST based on findings from a new report. Not only will he show why an HST would benefit Alberta, he will show how it can actually be implemented and how it might actually be attractive to Albertans.
