/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - TO2015 Announces Arts and Culture Festival PANAMANIA, Presented by CIBC/ Français
TORONTO, March 27, 2014 /CNW/ - The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015), along with its government and corporate partners, will launch PANAMANIA — the TO2015 Arts and Culture Festival, presented by CIBC — on April 1, 2014.
Renowned Canadian artists Robert Lepage, Veronica Tennant, Rick Miller and Santee Smith will join TO2015 and CIBC, its Lead Partner, to announce more than 25 commissioned works for 2015 by Canadian artists in theatre, photography, dance, music, spoken word, fashion and visual arts. These works will be featured during the five-week festival, running July 10 to August 15, 2015, concurrently with the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games.
The April 1 event will include performances by Mustafa the Poet and the Obeah Opera Quintet.
All speakers will be available to media after the announcement.
