Athletes inspire students coast to coast during Canadian Paralympic Schools Week 2013
OTTAWA, March 7, 2013 /CNW/ - It is with great pride and enthusiasm that schools and communities across the country have been welcoming some of the country's top athletes with a disability as guest speakers - many of them multiple Paralympic Games medallists - as part of Canadian Paralympic Schools Week 2013, presented in partnership with Petro-Canada.
In Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, Paralympic wheelchair basketball gold medallist Adam Lancia will visit O'Connell Drive Elementary School, 40 O'Connell Drive, on Friday March 8, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Media are invited to attend Adam Lancia's presentation, to take photos, and to conduct interviews with students, staff and Adam Lancia.

A three-time Paralympian in wheelchair basketball, Adam Lancia won gold medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, as well as a silver medal at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
Spreading the message of "Get Involved," Paralympic athletes and Paralympic hopefuls are delivering inspiring and motivational presentations to students from Victoria, British Columbia, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and up to Iqaluit, Nunavut.
