TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - On Sunday, September 23, more than 150 members of the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) will participate in an annual cycling event honouring the late Stephen Dupuis in support of BILD's community partner Habitat for Humanity Toronto.
The event, renamed Stephen's Ride for Humanity, was created in September 2011 by BILD President and CEO Stephen Dupuis, who passed away just days before the scheduled Ride. The Association chose to go ahead with the event in Stephen's honour, raising $25,000 toward his favourite charity.
With support from Stephen's family, BILD will continue to hold the annual Ride as a tribute to his contribution to the Association, with a goal of turning it into a national event.
