New Lowe's distribution facility will support company's future growth in Canada

MILTON, ON, Nov. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - Lowe's, the second largest home improvement retailer in the world will be celebrating the grand opening of its new Distribution Centre at 8450 Boston Church Road in Milton.  Mayor Gordon Krantz will join Lowe's Canada executives and employees for an official board cutting and community grant presentation, followed by a 45 minute guided tour of the new facility.

The 1.3 million sq./ft. state of the art facility will be fully operational in time for the busy Holiday season with 70,000 spaces to hold products to meet customers' home improvement needs. With 197 bay doors and a fully automated conveyance system, the new Lowe's Distribution Centre is strategically located to serve the company's current and future stores.

In July 2015, Lowe's announced plans to open 14 new stores in Canada bringing its total store count to 54 locations. Since then, an additional store has also been announced in Cornwall, Ontario. Lowe's opened its 40^th store in Saskatoon this past August, with its next locations set to open in Ancaster and Mississauga in early 2016.
