Videos to Premiere on Oct. 25
TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - A team of culinary students at George Brown College have reinvented classic recipes - like macaroni and cheese and beef enchiladas - and made them healthier. The new recipes reduce the salt, fat and sugar content, without compromising flavour.
In lieu of a cookbook, the students created mini cooking videos which will be rolled out over the coming months on YouTube, so Canadians everywhere can enjoy their favourite foods without the guilt. Three of the eight videos are set to premiere on Oct. 25 at George Brown, and will then be incorporated into the NexJ Personal Health Coach application which manages health, exercise and nutrition for patients with various conditions.
The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario will be on hand at the premiere to discuss the importance of this initiative and taste the culinary delights.
