TORONTO, April 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Alexandre Bilodeau, Rosie MacLennan, Tracey Ferguson, Mary Spencer, Mark Oldershaw, Paul Rosen and Carol Huynh will be among the 60 Canadian athletes attending the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015) first-ever Athlete Summit, hosted by the TO2015 Athlete Advisory Council on Thursday, May 2.
The TORONTO 2015 Games will be a rare opportunity for Canada's top summer athletes to compete at home against some of the best competitors from the Americas and the Caribbean.
Bilodeau, the first Canadian to win an Olympic gold medal on home soil, will give a special keynote address at the summit. Bilodeau will speak on the thrill of competing in front of a hometown crowd and how it contributed to his success at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
The summit will also consist of a visit to the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletes' Village for both athletes and media.
