Electro-Pop Sensation Lights Opens The New Live For Now Pepsi Pop-Up Space

TORONTO, June 25, 2013 /CNW/ - Electro-pop sensation Lights will give consumers a Pepsi Live For Now experience when she opens the 'Pepsi Pop-Up' space at 315 Queen Street West and performs an exclusive acoustic set before administering the popular Pepsi Taste Challenge for fans on Wednesday, June 26 beginning at 2:30 pm.

Lights is a multi award-winning Canadian music artist, with numerous Indie and Best New Artist Awards at Canadian Music Week in 2009, including Best New Artist and Favourite Solo Artist. She also won in the best new artist category at the 2009 Juno Awards and has been nominated for Junos in 2010 and 2012.

The iconic Pepsi Taste Challenge, which invites people to choose their favourite cola in a head-to-head taste comparison, first captured the imagination of Canadians in the late 1970s. Its huge popularity over the years has led Pepsi to bring it back for the summer of 2013, and it will be part of the pop-up space in the heart of trendy Queen Street West. The Pepsi Pop-Up will provide an opportunity for people to drop by and experience unique Live For Now music entertainment and meet special guest music artists, take the Pepsi Taste Challenge, win prizes, and generally hang out between June 26 and July 26.
