Spring Drive short by thousands of dollars and pounds of food

Almost five hundred volunteers on April 7 and 9 will be sorting and packing food donations from the Spring Drive at Daily Bread Food Bank. On April 9, Kevin Sylvester (award-winning broadcaster, illustrator and author of the children's book series The Neil Flambé Capers) will be in to help sort food and showcase his drawing talents to kids volunteering. | |
The Spring Drive ends on April 13 with goals of 300,000 dollars and 300,000 pounds of food. The Spring Drive is still thousands of dollars and pounds short with only $142,000 and 42,000 pounds of food raised as of April 5. Food and money donated during this drive will help make sure our shelves are stocked and food is getting out to those families that need it. | |
