| WHAT: | High atop the CN Tower, LCBO celebrates its province-wide goLOCAL -- It's seriously cool -- promotion by hosting a celebrity grape stomp competition. Canadian comedian Colin Mochrie and actress Debra McGrath will square off against TV interior design personalities Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan in a battle to see who can make the most grape juice. |
| A tasting of some of Ontario's best and newest Ontario VQA wines will immediately follow the competition. | |
| Presented in partnership with the Wine Council of Ontario, the goLOCAL promotion, which runs until October 9 in all 615 LCBO stores, features some 148 products from 50 Ontario wineries, including 20 new products from the LCBO's WINES Category. Vintages, LCBO's fine wine and premium spirits business unit, is also releasing 18 Ontario VQA wines during this promotion. In addition, there will be 1,500 in-store tastings, an online contest to win four winemaker dinners and numerous consumer events at major LCBO stores with demonstration kitchens. | |
