MONTREAL, Sept. 15, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The 48-HOUR RIDE Make-A-Wish® / Fais-Un-VœuMD Québec event celebrates its 10th anniversary on September 16-17-18. The Mayor of Montreal, Denis Coderre, announced that he would be the Honorary President of the 48-HOUR RIDE at a press conference at City Hall on June 7th, in Montreal.
Thanks to this major event, more than $7.5 million have been raised since 2007 for Make-A-Wish / Fais-Un-Vœu Québec to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. On top of this being a record year for the number of teams registered (280 compared to 214 last year), we are confident that last year's record goal of $1.6 million will be surpassed.
Many Quebec personalities, such as Jean-Michel Anctil, Louis-François Marcotte, Josée Lavigueur, Patrice Bélanger, Alex Perron, François Massicotte, François Morency, Herby Moreau and Bruny Surin showed their support to the Foundation. Some will be at the Start Line along with Honorary Co-Presidents and wish children Victoria and Jude-Alexandre.
