/R E P E A T -- Media Invitation - Commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of
the Bombing of Hiroshima, August 5/
MONTREAL, Aug. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Montréal Mayor Gérald Tremblay and Charles-Mathieu Brunelle, Executive Director of Montréal's Nature Museums, invite media representatives to the Peace Ceremony in memory of the victims of the bombing of Hiroshima. The event is open to the public, and will be held in the Japanese Garden of the Botanical Garden on August 5, 2010, at 7 p.m. The ceremony will also be attended by Messrs. Hiroaki Isobe, Consul General of Japan in Montréal, and Claude Gagné, President of the Montréal Japanese Garden and Pavilion Foundation.
Mr. Tremblay and Mr. Isobe will sound the Peace Bell at the same time as the bell in Hiroshima is rung - at 7:15 p.m., Montréal time, or the exact moment when the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.
