/R E P E A T -- Media Invitation - Creating a Pollinator Garden - 21st Great Gardening Weekend at the Jardin botanique/

MONTRÉAL, May 17, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Espace pour la vie invites media representatives to the 21st Great Gardening Weekend, to be held from May 25 to 27 at the Jardin botanique de Montréal. This year's edition is on the theme of pollinator gardening. There will be some 65 exhibitors, all keen to introduce visitors to different plant varieties, nature-based items, works of art and original garden accessories. In addition, seven speakers will be sharing their "green" gardening know-how.

Note that admission to the event will be free on Friday, May 25. That's right, our first free day last year was so popular with visitors (over 15,000 people turned out despite the rain) that the organizers have decided to repeat the experience.

	Every year, the Henry Teuscher Award is presented to an individual who has distinguished him- or herself over the years with an exceptional contribution to promoting horticulture and advancing horticultural knowledge in Quebec.
6 p.m.	2018 Horticultural Merit Awards
	Learn about this year's winners in this contest designed to introduce gardeners to rare, new, little-known or forgotten plants and innovative complementary products.

IMPORTANT
The Jardin botanique and Insectarium will not be participating in Montréal Museums Day on Sunday, May 27.
