20,000 people expected for Centraide's Generosity March

MONTREAL, Sept. 28, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Centraide of Greater Montreal's annual march to kick off its campaign will be held on October 4 starting at 11:30 a.m. This year, Centraide has organized a special Generosity March to coincide with Montreal's 375th anniversary.

Marching down the streets of downtown Montreal will be nearly 20,000 people, including donors, volunteers, community agency representatives, and major social and community development partners.

SCHEDULE:
11:30 a.m.	Participants gather at McGill College between Sainte-Catherine West and Sherbrooke West.
11:45 a.m.	Interviews with Lili-Anna Pereša, President and Executive Director of Centraide of Greater Montreal; Campaign 2017 Co-Chairs, Louis Audet, President and CEO of Cogeco, and James C. Cherry, Corporate Director; as well as agency staff and people who receive help (media tent, corner of Sainte-Catherine and McGill College).
12:00 p.m.	Opening remarks
	March starts toward the Quartier des spectacles.
12:30 p.m.	End of march and performance by singer Karim Ouellet at the Place des Festivals.
PHOTO OPS:
Four raised platforms will be installed for photographers and camera operators who want to take overhead shots of the march:
