MONTREAL, May 8, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - A leading tourist attraction, cruises will undoubtedly bring their fair share of passengers to Montréal in their wake this year. Members of the media are invited to attend a press conference organized by the Montréal Cruise Committee and its partners to mark the launch of the 2012 season, which promises to be excellent. Ms. Sylvie Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Montréal Port Authority and Mr. Charles Lapointe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tourisme Montréal will preside over the event, which will take place on May 10 at 11 a.m.

Led by Tourisme Montréal and Montréal Port Authority, the Montréal Cruise Committee encompasses Aéroports de Montréal, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, the Old Port of Montreal Corporation, the Hotel Association of Greater Montreal, the City of Montreal, Casino de Montréal and the Société de développement commercial du Vieux-Montréal. The committee is also supported by the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec.
