School dropout prevention - It starts in kindergarten
MONTREAL, Feb. 21, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal invites members of the press to its business luncheon on Friday, February 22 at noon. Since Marie Malavoy's presentation comes on the heels of Hooked on School Days, which ran from February 11 to 15, the Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports will take this opportunity to address the issue of early school leaving.
In addition, the Board of Trade will be launching the 2013 edition of Operation Back to School, an initiative that gives students in grades 9, 10 and 11 a chance to take part in exchanges with business people from a variety of sectors of activity who care about school retention and success, to encourage them to continue their studies.
