MONTREAL, Feb. 22, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - MV-1 Canada and the Comité provincial de concertation et de développement de l'industrie du taxi (Provincial Committee for consultation and development of the taxi industry - CPCDIT) presents a brand new taxi vehicle which will hit the road next Monday, February 25. The first universally accessible, purpose-built vehicle is unique. Unlike anything existing now in the world of para-transit, the MV-1 redefines its class.
As of February 25, 6 new vehicles will operate as taxis in Montreal, Laval and Longueuil and serve regular customers that have disabilities. Indeed, the MV-1 vehicle meets the needs of all clientele, people with disabilities including people with large wheelchairs. In collaboration with the taxi industry, the project evaluation over a period of 10 weeks, will present the vehicle to a wide variety of daily clientele.
The news media are invited to the inauguration of the demonstration project.
