TORONTO, June 10 /CNW Telbec/ - According to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, 10,000 young Canadians could benefit from a role model in their life today. To assist Big Brothers Big Sisters fullfil the urgent need for new youth mentor volunteers, Standard Life is holding a unique fundraising event - Standard Life's Big Search - on Friday, June 18, at the Westin Prince Toronto hotel.
Media representatives are invited to attend Standard Life's Big Search. About 150 participants will be geocaching, using GPS and a list of coordinates (latitudes and longitudes) to find hidden caches. This is one of the first times this recreational outdoor activity is being used as part of a fundraising campaign in Canada.
