MONTRÉAL, March 21, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The president and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, Michel Leblanc, will be available to comment on the 2016-2017 federal budget, representing the views of the business community of the country's second largest city. The budget will be tabled Tuesday, March 22 at around 4 p.m.
The following are the Board of Trade's recommendations:
- Immediately confirm strategic support for Bombardier
- Beginning in 2016-2017, make strategic investments in infrastructure
- Grant increased support for the internationalization of businesses
- Increase the competitiveness of our tax system
- Stick to the plan to balance the budget by 2019-2020
