MONTREAL, Sept. 4, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Henri-Paul Rousseau, Chairman of the Board of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF), and Ms. Mélanie La Couture, Executive Director of the Foundation, would like to invite members of the media to the cocktail portion of the Grand Bal des Vins-Coeurs 2015. Extremely popular within the arts and business communities in Montreal, the Foundation's flagship event raises a significant amount of funds to finance the priority projects of the Montreal Heart Institute, one of the most renowned cardiology centres in the world, for the benefit of all Quebecers.
The event will also serve to pay a special tribute to Marc Poulin, president of Sobeys Inc. & Empire Company Limited and the IGA grocers, members of the Bassin Laurentien Grocers Association. Thanks to the "$2 Does the Heart Good", IGA grocers, their suppliers and their clients have raised an impressive $8.1 million for the Institute's Foundation over the past 29 years. Thanks to their generosity, involvement, and dedication, they have provided an important contribution to the Montreal Heart Institute's outstanding reputation and commitment to innovation.
Many celebrities will attend the event, including Stefano Faita, Josée di Stasio, Christian Bégin, Mitsou Gélinas, Isabelle Maréchal, and many others.
