/R E P E A T -- MEDIA INVITATION - Women gain, visible minorities lose ground in Greater Montreal Area leadership roles/ Français
TORONTO, Dec. 12, 2016 /CNW/ - The Diversity Institute and Concertation Montréal invite media to attend a presentation and discussion of innovative research and leading practices related to diversity.
Research has shown that organizations which are more diverse tend to have better performance, higher levels of employee engagement and be well positioned to compete in global markets. This final instalment of a five-year study, DiversityLeads, has benchmarked and tracked diversity on boards and senior leadership across sectors in Toronto and Montréal. It shows that since 2012 the proportion of women has grown while the proportion of racialized minorities in leadership roles has declined in the Greater Montréal Area. It also highlights the differences between leaders and laggards in terms of effective processes to create diverse and inclusive environments.
