the Energy and Urban Innovation Report at the Toronto Forum for Global

What: On the occasion of the Toronto Forum for Global Cities, the World Energy Council (WEC) will present the results of its 2010 Energy and Urban Innovation Report, which outlines the energy-related challenges that major cities will face during the coming decades.
The news conference will include a detailed review of the Report's analysis of the Greater Toronto Area, with a set of recommendations for the municipal government, private sector and energy industry. Members of the WEC research team will present the technical and policy actions that must be taken to meet the GTA's energy challenges, including aging infrastructure, the provision of sustainable energy, urban energy-poverty alleviation and the struggle against local pollution and congestion.
