TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2014 /CNW/ - To give is to receive. This is MUZIK's mantra as it joins forces with The Toronto Police Services and Z103.5 FM (Evanov Radio) for its 7^th Annual MUZIK Food Drive. The initiative kicked off on Thanksgiving weekend and will run until the end of January, 2015. Every Saturday, MUZIK patrons that donate a non-perishable food item upon arrival will receive VIP complimentary admission before 11:00 p.m. All of the proceeds will go to the Parkdale Community Food Bank, The Daily Bread Food Bank and the Mississauga Food Bank.

"To date, our food drive has raised 140 tonnes of food for various local shelters," said Zlatko Starkovski, President of MUZIK. "As astounding as this number is, it's even more astounding that the need for food continues to grow. This is why our team remains dedicated to outdoing ourselves every year."

MUZIK is also making full use of its social media platforms to encourage its celebrity clientele to join the cause. On Saturday, December 13 at 10:30 pm, cast members from the hit television series Degrassi will be on hand to make a large donation and help spread the word.
