TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2015 /CNW/ - A new low-rise housing project is coming soon to Markham's Armadale community. The project is being planned to include residential townhomes. The development will be lead by Tercot Communities Limited in partnership with Cityzen Development Group, and Greybrook Realty Partners.
The property, located at 7350 Markham Road, is one of the last parcels of developable land in the historical Armadale community. The site is located near public parks, transit and schools and provides convenient access to major highways.
Joe Valela, Principal at Tercot Communities and his team have started the development process and have submitted a zoning application. Mr. Valela has been involved in all aspects of the residential home construction and building business and has developed subdivisions and condominiums and built custom homes across the Greater Toronto and Southern Ontario areas for over 35 years.
"At Tercot, we pride ourselves in building sustainable and livable communities," said Mr. Valela. "Markham is a strong desirable residential market in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)."
Markham is one of the fastest growing cities in North America. Markham's population is more than 345,000, with a projected increase to 421,600 by 2031. The province recently announced that Markham will be the approved location for York University's newest campus expected to open in 2018. As Markham continues to gain local and global recognition, affordable and innovative housing opportunities also need to be encouraged for students, seniors, singles and families.
Tercot Communities is a multi-disciplined real estate development company with over 35 years of experience in the Greater Toronto and Greater Golden Horseshoe residential, commercial and industrial markets.
