The Government of Canada supports the 44th Festirame
ALMA, QC, July 6, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, today announced funding of $30,400 for the 44th Festirame, which is taking place in Alma from July 8 to 16, 2017.
This funding, provided by the Government of Canada under the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program, will enable organizers to showcase local artists and offer support to volunteers.

Quick Facts
Festirame is an annual festival organized by Festivalma Inc. The organization runs a series of recreational, sport and cultural activities throughout the year in Alma.
Festirame's programming includes a series of major concerts featuring emerging, local and renowned artists. Recreational activities and a variety of entertainment for the entire family will also be available to festival visitors.
The event, which will take place mainly on the Place Festivalma site, involves nearly 100 artists from the region and elsewhere in Quebec artists, as well as 250 volunteers.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Alma, a special place will be reserved for local artists. Around 70,000 people are expected to attend over the nine days of festivities.
