MONTREAL, May 25, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The LÉGER FOUNDATION is pleased to announce that Marc-André Coallier, our Spokesperson for Street Youth, is participating in the fifth annual Cycling for LÉGER FOUNDATION. On May 27, he will join 75 cyclists who will ride for either 50 km or 150 km for the LÉGER FOUNDATION during the Défi métropolitain organized by Vélo Québec. These cyclists on 12 teams are motivated to raise money for street youth in Quebec and around the world. The LÉGER FOUNDATION is proud to announce that the cyclists have already raised over 50% of their goal of $80,000. The rides will start at the Cité-des-Jeunes in Vaudreuil-Dorion, at 400 avenues Saint-Charles, J7V 6B1, Québec.
Marc-André Coallier: an engaged spokesperson
An engaged member and bright light in his community, this former host of Club des 100 watts has learned as much as he can about the organizations and people supported by the LÉGER FOUNDATION to better understand the reality of people affected by homelessness. "Every time I come across a homeless person, I think about how no one deserves to live on the street. Homelessness is an extreme form of poverty and social exclusion. This is one reason I got involved and started cycling for the cause of street youth," explained Marc-André Coallier.
