MONTREAL, May 31, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Getting around the city by car may take a little extra planning while the Tour la Nuit and Tour de l'Île de Montréal events are on, this coming Friday, June 2, and Sunday, June 4, as select streets will be closed to automobile traffic and several temporary parking bans will be in effect. The organizers of the Go Bike Montréal Festival are committed to keeping the public informed and providing residents and visitors with details on alternate routes and means of getting to healthcare institutions.
Road travel:
On Friday, June 2, the Tour la Nuit event will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Parc-La Fontaine Avenue and Roy Street, and end at Jeanne-Mance Park. The route will take cyclists through the boroughs of Plateau-Mont-Royal, Ville-Marie and Sud-Ouest.
On Sunday, June 4, the Tour de l'Île de Montréal will begin at 9:15 a.m. at Parc Avenue and Mont-Royal Avenue, and end at Jeanne-Mance Park. The route will take cyclists through the boroughs of Plateau-Mont-Royal, Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension, Mont-Royal, Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Westmount, Sud-Ouest, Lachine, LaSalle, Verdun and Ville-Marie.
