The entertaining workshops hosted by science education experts from Profaqua will delight children aged six and up—and their parents. Families will also be able to take guided tours of the electricity interpretation centre and learn all sorts of fun facts. And it's all free!
Variety of family workshops
From February 27 to March 5, children can enjoy developing their team spirit and satisfying their scientific curiosity. Catapult and wind canon competitions, electric circuits, optical illusions, magic secrets and mystery of the air—a whole range of stimulating workshops on a variety of topics are planned. There's something for everyone!
360º virtual tour of Baie-James
And while you're at The Électrium, spend a few minutes touring the biggest hydropower facility in North America: Robert-Bourassa generating facility. Wearing a virtual reality headset, you'll see the splendors of Baie-James (James Bay), in the heart of the boreal forest. An amazing experience for the whole family!

Spring break hours
The Électrium will be open February 27 to March 5, 2017, inclusive, from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The 60-minute workshops will be held at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The Électrium is in Sainte-Julie, Exit 87 off Highway 30 in Montérégie.

The Électrium offers guided tours adapted to different visitor groups and several interactive modules so you can learn more about the electric phenomena that surround you. For example, you can observe the electric eel, explore electricity's role in the human body and its effect on our reflexes—and even get to test who, in your family, has the fastest reflexes.
