OTTAWA, Oct. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - The Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, will take part in student celebrations for the International Day of the Girl. The Minister will be joined by the Honourable Ron Cannan, Member of Parliament for Kelowna- Lake Country, and Alaina Podmorow, the Government of Canada 2012 Honourary Youth Ambassador for International Day of the Girl, and founder of "Little Women for Women in Afghanistan".

Minister Leitch and other event participants will be available for a photo op and to answer questions following the press conference.
