MONTREAL, Sept. 28, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Réseau FADOQ, along with spokesperson Louise DesChâtelets, launched the 2nd edition of its Bouton argenté campaign to promote an adequate quality of life for Québec's seniors.
This year, FADOQ Seniors Week will incorporate National Seniors Day on October 1st and will serve as pretext for the deployment of a massive awareness campaign. The campaign, to be broadcast on major television networks, the radio and the Web, aims to raise awareness about the quality of life of seniors, both now and in the future, whether they live at home, in nursing homes or in private seniors' residences. "Like last year, we also want to see the bouton argenté, symbol of an adequate quality of life for seniors, on the lapels of National Assembly deputies. Elected representatives are thus given the opportunity to highlight and pay tribute to the seniors of Québec," says FADOQ president Maurice Dupont.
Wear the Bouton argenté
To date, an impressive 50,000 buttons are proudly worn by Quebecers. This year, we plan to increase this number or even double it! Let's remember that the button represents clear support of the Social Contract that promotes an adequate quality of life for seniors in Québec, initiated by FADOQ in 2013. The social contract already has the support of almost 50,000 individuals and organizations throughout Québec society and the number is growing. The agreement urges organizations to adopt practices in all their activities that promote respect for an adequate quality of life for seniors.
