/R E P E A T -- Third and final weekend - Snow and the joys of winter are all there at Fête des neiges de Montréal/ Français
MONTREAL, Feb. 3, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fête des neiges de Montréal site is all set for the third and final weekend of festivities as people of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the 25 outdoor activities being staged at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Meanwhile, several members of the Speed Skating Canada team will also be on hand at the event, providing some helpful tips to young Canadian hopefuls in this highly popular sport.
"Tens of thousands of visitors came to the site to enjoy winter as a family on the first two weekends of the Fête des neiges de Montréal, and that is going to continue again this weekend with an array of activities to suit every taste," said Société du parc Jean-Drapeau spokesperson Nathalie Lessard. "And it is important to note that a dozen outdoor activities will be continuing beyond the Fête des neiges, every weekend until March 11."
The lengthy list of activities includes such features as a visit to the Snow Village, the zip-line, tube slide, cross-country ski trails, dogsled and horse-drawn sleighrides and the magnificent 1.5-kilometre long skaters' path along the river. Parc Jean-Drapeau is located just five minutes from downtown Montréal and is easy to get to by subway or car.
The final segment of the 29th Fête des neiges is shaping up to be a magical experience! Descriptions of all the activities can be found online at:
