VAUGHAN, ON, Sept. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Mark Thursday, September 13^th in your calendar to join Hats On for Awareness for its 4^th Annual Hatsquerade Gala Fundraiser in support of CAMH featuring special guest and keynote speaker, respected host of TSN's Off the Record, Michael Landsberg.

Landsberg will join the event's co-chairs Andrew Brethour of the PMA Brethour Realty Group and Hugh Heron of the Heathwood Group of Companies for the event to raise awareness about and funds for mental health and addiction. As in previous years, proceeds of the Hatsquerade will go to support the important work done at CAMH. As the third largest fundraiser for the hospital, Hats On for Awareness has raised over $150,000 of the $270,000 it has committed to CAMH by 2015.

"We're so pleased to be hosting this event for the fourth year," said the charity's co-founder, Enza Checchia. "The work done at CAMH is saving lives, but we need to ensure that those currently suffering in silence from a mental illness or addiction feel comfortable and able to seek the help they need."

All guests are invited to sport their own choice of eye-popping headgear to show their support for those affected by mental illness and addiction. The event will also feature performances from renowned aerialists A2D2, a silent auction, a competition for best hat, cocktails and dinner, and dancing into the evening.
